IS UNITED STATES MASK MODEL 1836 CDC/NIOSH (NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH) CERTIFIED?
Yes! You can find us listed on the CDC website here: https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/topics/respirators/disp_part/N95list1sect3-u.html
EAR LOOPS OR HEAD STRAPS?
United States Mask N95 respirators have head straps. This is the American standard for N95s. If you find a mask in the marketplace labeled N95 with ear loops, it is counterfeit and not an N95 by CDC/NIOSH standards.
A KN95 with ear loops meets the Chinese standard but does not meet NIOSH standards.
HEY, THE NOSE PIECE IS THICK.
That’s not a question but yes, the nose piece is thicker (but not too thick) by design. Adjust it to get a good fit for your face and your glasses won’t fog.
DOES UNITED STATES MASK MAKE A KID’S MASK?
At this time, no. It makes us sad to think a child may need an N95 respirator, but we hear your requests.
CAN I WASH MY N95?
No. Don’t do that. These are disposable (and recyclable!) N95 respirators designed for one use. Please check the CDC website for their guidelines on the reuse of N95 respirators.
IS THE UNITED STATES MASK MODEL 1836 RECYCLABLE? WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY MASK AFTER I USE IT?
Your model 1836 is recyclable! Put it in your recycle bin, or, at the very least, throw it in the trash (not on the ground.) It’s always a good idea to wash your hands after.
DOES THE UNITED STATES MASK MODEL 1836 CONTAIN LATEX?
No. They’re also fiberglass free, gluten free, sulfite free, fat free, cholesterol free and dairy free, and our machinery doesn’t process nuts. (OK, so not all of those are ‘frequently asked,’ but we like to cover our bases.)
DOES UNITED STATES MASK SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
No. Due to government regulations, United States Mask is not allowed to export N95 respirators.
